Peachy Keen Colour had the honour of grading this gorgeous award-winning Redlands Coast ‘Quandamooka Country’ tourism TVC, directed by Matt Raimondo and shot by Caleb Ware. Angela Cerasi’s colour grade evoked warm and moody feels – quite unusual but stunningly beautiful.

Matt Raimondo’s brief was to create an authentic story with a strong emotional element that honours the traditional owners of the land and inspires others to build a deeper connection to Redlands Coast.  The captivating and emotive images captured were a pleasure to grade.

This grade also felt extra-special as it’s filmed on Quandamooka country, which is where Peachy HQ is based.  Quandamooka country includes the land and sea surrounding Mulgumpin (Moreton Island), Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island), the Southern Moreton Bay Islands and the mainland coast (Belmont, Chandler, Tingalpa, Wynnum and Redlands).  It is the country of the Quandamooka People. They are the Nunagal, Goenbal and Ngugi People.

The cinematic destination video is beautifully narrated by renowned artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, a proud Nunukul, Ngugi and Goenpul woman of Quandamooka Country, and illustrates her cultural connection to the magical places across Redlands Coast.

The video was developed as part of the council’s “Reconnect on Redlands Coast” campaign to help the tourism industry to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and was a great success.

The Redlands Coast on Quandamooka Country video won the ‘Best Culture Film’ award in the Japan International Tourism Film Festival 2021.  DOP Caleb Ware won the GOLD Cinematography award in the ACS QLD 2020 ‘Regional Commercial’ category.
